Do you have to be pure to read Al-Quraan from the mobile?

Thank god

These circuits in which the Qur’an was written in writing or recording do not take the ruling of the Qur’an, so it is permissible to touch them without purification, and it is permissible to enter the toilet in them, because writing the Qur’an in a mobile phone is not like writing it in the Qur’an, as they are vibrations that display and then disappear and are not fixed letters, and the mobile includes the Qur’an And others.

Sheikh Abd al-Rahman bin Nasser al-Barrak was asked: What is the ruling on reading the Qur’an from a mobile device without purity?

He, may God preserve him, replied: “The answer: Praise be to God alone, and may blessings and peace be upon the one after whom there is no prophet yet.

It is well known that reciting the Qur’an by heart does not require purity from minor impurity, but rather from major ones, but purification for reciting the Qur’an, even by heart, is better, because it is the word of God and one of the perfection of it is not to recite except on the basis of purity.

With regard to reading it from the Qur’an, purity is required to touch the Qur’an absolutely, for what came in the well-known hadith: (The Qur’an only touches the pure one) and what came from the reports from the Companions and Followers, and this is the view of the majority of scholars, which is that it is forbidden for the modernist to touch the Qur’an, whether it is for recitation or Other ,

Based on this, it appears that mobile phones and other devices in which the Qur’an is recorded do not have the same ruling as the Qur’an, because the letters of the Qur’an are different from their presence in the Qur’an, so they do not exist in their reading capacity, rather they are found in a characteristic vibrations that make up the letters in their form upon request, so the screen appears and disappears By moving to another, and accordingly, it is permissible to touch the mobile phone or tape in which the Qur’an is recorded, and it is permissible to read from it, even if it is not purified, and God knows best. End quote from the website: “The Light of Islam”.

Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan, may God preserve him, was asked: I am keen on reading the Qur’an and usually I’m in the mosque early and I have one of the modern mobile phones in which there is a complete program for the Holy Qur’an - the whole Qur’an - some times: I am not in a state of purity, so I read what is easy and read some parts, is purity required when Reading from cell phones?

He replied: “This is one of the luxury that appeared on the people. Mushafs, praise be to God, are available in mosques with luxurious printing, so there is no need for reading from a mobile phone, but if this happens, we do not see that it takes the same ruling as the Qur’an.”

The Mushaf can only be touched by the pure person, as in the hadeeth: “The Qur’an is only touched by the pure.” As for a mobile phone, it is not called a Qur’an. End.

Reading the Qur’an from a mobile phone is easy for the menstruating woman, and for someone who is unable to carry the Qur’an with him, or if he is in a place where ablution is difficult, because purity is not required to touch it, as stated above.
